Last week eDocument Sciences held our annual Business Strategy and Planning meeting In Seattle and on Whidbey Island, WA. Our CEO, Dave Anastasi, hosted the senior staff in a beautiful setting in the pacific Northwest. We had a lot to work on for the upcoming year and came out of the meeting with a renewed focus to help our customers identify risk and secure their information. Through a lot of the work we have done in the past year, including our Data Governance Summit in June, we are moving toward providing our customers with a more complete way to manage their information assets.
Our major goals are to continue developing a portfolio of services and technologies that allow small, medium and large organizations to identify, manage and mitigate information risks. We will also begin to target specific industries to help them with their unique problems.
A big step toward helping customers and driving business was the launch of our new website this past spring. With tremendous help from Sassy Design Group, we now have a fresh looking site based on WordPress. One of our major tasks is to continue to create more interesting content to help engage customers in conversations about solving their information security related problems. We post content on YouTube, Flickr, Twitter and LinkedIn with regularity, so check them out. Of course we get great interaction on our blog and through posting it on LinkedIn forums. We enjoy reading all the comments so please continue to contribute.
While up at Whidbey Island, we took a trip out in Dave’s small boat to do some crabbing. Dave is passionate about crabbing and pulled in a few dozen over the few days we were there. It was also beautiful to take the short ferry ride to the island. You can see the Cascade Mountains and beautiful views all around you. We also saw a few cruise ships go by on their way up to Canada and Alaska. Check out more pictures on our Flickr page.
